Privacy Policy

BSP Studio ("the Developer") sets out this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information in the app "Sum Jam" ("the App").

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

The Developer processes a minimal amount of personal information for the following purposes only. Information processed will not be used for any purpose other than those listed below; if the purpose of use changes, the Developer will take necessary steps such as obtaining separate consent.

  • Providing the service: To save and manage progress, scores, and item counts for Stage Mode and Endless Mode.
  • Providing the ranking service: To provide leaderboard functionality for Endless Mode (Normal / Hard) via Google Play Games Services.
  • Displaying ads: To keep the App free, Google AdMob interstitial and rewarded ads are shown.

2. Categories of Personal Information Processed

The App does not collect, store, or transmit sensitive personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location — it is a "no personal information collected" app.

However, the following information may be processed automatically.

2.1 Information stored only on your device

Stage progress and star ratings, Endless Mode high scores (Normal / Hard), item counts (Freeze / Hammer / Lightning), sound and language settings, cumulative play statistics, and whether the tutorial has been seen are stored only on your device and are never sent to an external server.

2.2 Information processed via Google Play Games Services (ranking feature)

The App uses Google Play Games Services to provide the Endless Mode leaderboard feature. This involves automatic sign-in with your Google account and sending/retrieving your score. This information is processed by Google and is not directly collected or stored by the Developer. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

2.3 Information automatically collected for ad delivery

Because the App uses Google AdMob to serve ads, Google may collect an advertising ID, IP address, and device information (OS version, device model, etc.). For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Retention and Processing Period

Because the App does not directly collect or hold personal information, there is no separate personal information disposal procedure.

  • Game data stored on your device (progress, scores, items, settings, etc.) can be erased at any time by uninstalling the App.
  • The retention and deletion of information processed via Google Play Games Services is governed by Google's own policies.
  • The retention and deletion of information Google collects for ad delivery is likewise governed by Google's own policies.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Developer does not, in principle, disclose your personal information to outside parties, except in the following cases:

  • Where required by law, or requested by an investigative authority following the procedures prescribed by law
  • For the ranking feature, Google (Play Games Services) processes your account information and scores
  • For ad delivery, Google (AdMob) uses advertising IDs and similar data to serve ads

5. About Advertising

The App displays ads via Google AdMob. There is no persistent in-game banner ad; ads are shown only at the following points:

  • Interstitial ads: When you choose "Quit" after a game over, or periodically after clearing a stage (never shown during your first session)
  • Rewarded ads (optional): "Watch Ad to Continue" after a game over, or getting items from the title screen

Watching a rewarded ad only grants optional benefits such as continuing a run or receiving items — it never lets you skip a stage's clear condition (reaching the required match count).

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads as follows:

  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

6. About Network Communication

The App's core gameplay and mission logic run entirely on your device and do not require any server communication. Network communication is used solely for Google AdMob ad delivery and Google Play Games Services ranking features (sign-in, score submission and retrieval).

7. User Rights and How to Exercise Them

You may discontinue use of the service at any time by deleting the App. Because the Developer does not directly collect personal information, no separate procedure for accessing, correcting, or deleting data is necessary. 8. Children's Privacy

The App is not primarily directed at children under the age of 13. Parents and guardians should review this Policy before allowing their children to use the App.

9. Security

The App takes reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, tampering, or leakage of information stored on your device. However, complete security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Changes to This Policy
